Dear
animal advocate,
Thank you for expressing an interest in APV's
Volunteer Program, and wanting to do your
part to build a stronger political voice for
those who care about animals in New Mexico!
APV considers volunteers as unpaid staff,
and as such, we require volunteers to apply
for positions, participate in an interview,
sign a volunteer contract, and make a commitment
to help us accomplish our goals to help animals.
As you can see, we value volunteers and take
seriously their role with us.
Animal Protection Voters has a fairly small
paid staff with specifically assigned programs
and goals. In order to ensure that we create
a satisfying match between volunteers and
APV paid staff, we ask that you give considerable
thought to what kind of work you want to do
and how much time you can commit before filling
out the APV Volunteer Application. We also
want to be sure that all volunteer assignments
will augment the work our staff is currently
undertaking. You can review our current year’s
initiatives at 2005
initiatives.
To be considered for a Volunteer position,
please return the application (referenced
at left) with a resumé if you have
one. Our staff will review your application
and contact you to discuss matching your skills
and interests with APV’s ambitious goals.
We thank you again for your interest, and
look forward to hearing from you soon.

Animals can’t represent themselves
with our
policy-makers. We have to do that for them.
