Animal Indemnity Bill Passes House,
Achieves Concurrence in Senate!

 


Senate Bill 127, the Animal Indemnity Bill, passed the House on Monday afternoon in a floor vote of 59 to 4. Sponsored by Senator Peter Wirth, and argued on the House floor by Representative Al Park, the bill returned to the Senate for concurrence late Monday evening.

SB127 now goes to Governor Richardson for his consideration. Animal advocates are hopeful the governor will sign the measure.
